When creating this bread lame, we wanted a scoring tool made from natural materials with more adjustability than most options on the market. The result is a compact, customizable bread lame designed for controlled, precise scoring.
Cut from solid cherry wood, the brass tightening knob threads through the handle and blade guard to retract or extend the razor, placing the weight of the lame at an optimal fulcrum for accuracy. The brass rivet allows bakers to fine-tune blade exposure based on grip and scoring angle, making it easy to adapt to different hands and techniques.
Simple, well balanced, and easy to store, this bread scoring tool does exactly what it’s meant to do — no excess, no gimmicks.
Care & Safety CAUTION: Loose razor blades are sharp (obviously, but still worth saying). Please use care when adjusting or handling the blade. This tool requires attention and moderate dexterity during blade changes.
